May savings total!

I finally got the chance to round up all of our receipts for the month of May so that we could tally up the savings of all our purchases. Thanks in part to some thorough research of retailers weekly sales, coupon match ups, a little bit of haggling & hitting the clearance racks, we were able to save a total of $427.30 on our everyday needs. As you can imagine, we were so pleased to see how much we did not have to spend and still maintain our household. It's such a wonderful feeling to know that couponing really does make a difference, for my husband and I, it's not a hobby, it's a way of life. We're excited to share our triumphs, tips and failures with you (gotta take the good with the bad) and we would also love for you to share your money savings stories with us.

  1. LOL, I was just thumbing through my own sales receipts this weekend and figured up I saved 505.00. I'm glad about using coupons two, my home and family wouldn't be able to survive without using them. Me and my husband are on a fixed income so without clipping coupons, we wouldn't make it.

  4. Between myself and my daughter have saved atleast $1200.00 in the past month. We each buy 20 papers every sunday and we have a system where I clip the coupons and she looks on the internet for matching specials so we can save more. We just found your website last weekend when she was looking for the walgreens deals. We really like your detail because it helps us to get the best deals.

  6. I'm a single male paying my way through college, sometimes its hard to make ends meet but my sister told me about using coupons, she and my bro in law save alot, so she showed me a few things and so far in about 2 months i was able to save about $600 and i used that money to pay my tuition for next semester and make my car payment. I've told my frat bros about it too, they think I'm nuts but when they see my apartment filled with stuff I got for cheap or free that's when they wanna learn how to do it.

  7. Derrick, I'm proud to hear that you are putting yourself through college, I know how hard that can be. Especially knowing that coupons are helping you get there, it's a great feeling. As for your frat brothers, they'll come around soon. :-)
